Brouwerij De Halve Maan launches Rosé De Bruges

Brewery De Halve Maan adds a fruity newcomer to its range: Rosé De Bruges, a fresh and surprising twist on the iconic wheat beer Blanche De Bruges. This new rosé beer is brewed using the familiar Bruges wheat beer and enriched with the juice of fresh cherries and a hint of elderflower.

With Rosé De Bruges, the brewery responds to the growing demand for fruity specialty beers. The result is a light pink cloudy beer with a playful spiciness and a refreshing finish. Perfect for sunny terraces, summer festivals or an aperitif.

A flavourful balance
This rosé beer maintains the natural wheat beer profile that is so typical of the Blanche de Bruges. Slightly cloudy, citrusy and spiced with coriander seed and orange peel. The beer is enriched with the juice of fresh cherries and a hint of elderflower. This adds a subtle sweetness and a refreshing tartness that brings everything nicely into balance. With an alcohol percentage of 4.8 percent, it remains an easy drinking beer that can appeal to many.

Fruity beer cocktails
In recent years, beer cocktails have become increasingly popular. In 2021, the brewery launched a cocktail guide featuring Blanche De Bruges. It invited customers to experiment with wheat beer in cocktails. The idea caught on and many creations appeared using red fruit extracts. This inspired the brewery to create its own version of wheat beer with red fruit. That is how Rosé De Bruges was born.

A summery look with Bruges flair
The packaging has a fresh and modern look while staying true to its traditional character. The bottle and label feature a stylish skyline of Bruges, a nod to the beer’s origins, along with a renewed logo that feels contemporary yet rooted in the brand’s heritage. The beer is at its best in its elegant glass but also works beautifully in an original beer cocktail. A tasteful addition to any aperitif moment.
